The e-Visa for Uganda
The e-Visa for Uganda was introduced by the Government of Uganda, to enable travelers to make an easy and quick application for a Uganda e-Visa for visiting the country of Uganda for tourism or business purposes. A foreign citizen from any of one of the eligible countries can apply online for an e-Visa before departure.
The e-Visa for Uganda for tourism can provide access to the country of Uganda for eligible citizens for one single entry over a period of 30 days, depending on their needs.
You should give yourself sufficient time to apply for a visa and make sure when applying that the start date and validity covers the period you wish to travel.
Uganda e-Visa entry specifications, validity and length of authorized stay
The ordinary tourism e-Visa for Uganda (Single Entry) is allowing its holder to visit the country of Uganda in one single entry for a maximum period of time of thirty (30) days. The e-Visa for Uganda is allowing its holder to visit the country of Uganda with one entry and one exit, per each time. Multiple Entry e-Visa permits its holder to several entries for a maximum period of 6-12 months, 12-24 months or 24-36 months , in depends of type selected.
You can also apply for an East African Tourist Visa. This is valid for 90 days and allows multiple entry into Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda. If you apply for it in this page, the first country to visit must be Uganda
The approval letter of Uganda Government sent by email or downloaded through our web site establishes that you are eligible for the approved visa but does not establish that your applicant is definitely approved. This final approval will be done at the selected point of entry where the visa or permit sticker will be printed and it will be pasted to the passport.
Passport guidelines for the e-Visa for Uganda
The applicant’s passport should be valid for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of entry into Uganda.
If your nationality is one of the list, you don’t need to apply for a Visa for entering in Uganda: Angola, Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Burundi, Comoros, Cyprus, Eritrea, Fiji, Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Malta, Mauritius, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands, The Grenadines, St. Vincent-Tonga, Swaziland, Tanzania, Vanuatu, Zambia, Zimbabwe
Travelers that are Citizens and nationals from the countries listed in the dropdown of the form are eligible to apply online for a Uganda e-Visa. Among these countries are including the US, UK, EU countries, Russian Federation and many others. If your country is not listed please verify if you do not need the visa because of your current nationality is included in the previous paragraph.
Additional evidence requirements
In addition to the personal information and travel details that are provided during the online form, applicants may perfectly be required to provide the following document:
A scanned copy or picture of the biographical page of the current valid passport that has been used during the online application form. The applicant can perfectly submit this required information in a later stage and does not need to provide this mandatory document at the moment of application.
Documentation Needed at Uganda International Ports of Entry
Any Tourist traveling with an Uganda e-Visa are required to present the following documentation upon arrival at a Uganda International port of entry:
Printed approved e-Visa; Passport valid for at least 6 months (it has to be the same one used to complete the e-Visa application form);

Verify Status of Uganda e-Visa
Uganda e-Visa applicants will receive any future notification and updates about the status of their application delivered to their inbox. If it is finally approved, the e-Visa for Uganda will be sent to the applicant to his inbox directly via email.
